What to see and do
There are many unique places of interest to see in our local area - picturesque fishing villages, castles, historic houses, blue flag beaches, museums and visitor attractions, foot paths, cycle ways and wildlife reserves. In particular the Isle of May nature reserve is well worth visiting by boat from Anstruther.
For the golfer, in addition to the Old and New Course in St Andrews, we are even closer to world famous courses such as the spectacular Balcomie course at Crail Golf Club (the 7th oldest club in the world and designed by the legendary "Old Tom Morris") and the excellent Kingsbarns Links Course. There are almost 40 golf courses within an hour's drive from Crail.
There is a lovely walk from our door along a farm track into the pretty village of Crail where you can meet up with the Fife Coastal Path or, if you prefer cycling, head off along one of the East Neuk's many cycle routes.
In addition, if you have a car, there are many more sights to see within an hour's drive from Troustrie - palaces, distilleries, mountains, historic ships and many other great places.
